Santorini Days, Hand-Painted Glass Christmas Bauble
Inspired by our best-selling Santorini Days print, this special glass bauble captures the beauty and spirit of a Greek island summer, the blue-domed church, beautiful bougainvillea, whitewashed homes and the sea beyond.
At the heart of the design is the church: representing our faith, belonging and the traditions that bring families together. Around it, bougainvillea spills across the rooftops in rich shades of pink, bringing warmth and life to the peaceful, iconic Santorini scene.
Each bauble is individually painted by hand using an intricate reverse-painting technique. Working through the small opening at the top, the artist carefully builds the entire scene on the inside of the glass using a fine brush. Approximately four hours are devoted to every bauble, requiring remarkable patience, precision and skill.
Because each piece is created by hand, subtle variations in the brushwork and colour are part of its beauty. No two will ever be exactly alike.
